Regat Studios

Jacques and Mary Regat are a husband and wife team of sculptors that have combined their skills to create beautiful works of art. Their sculptures mainly reflect Alaskan history, people, animals, and legends, and wilderness.

The majority of Jacques’s experience is with clay, wood, metal, and stone. He graduated cum laude from the University of Alaska in Anchorage, with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and Anthropology minor. He also graduated from the College d’Enseignement Technique De Vitry in France. He was an apprentice to an Italian carver and a Chinese decorator, so he became familiar with incorporating different legends and history from around the world into his artwork.

Mary’s specialty is in bronze, lithography, and painting. She studied art at the University of Alaska, European art in France, and Mayan Toltec art in Central/South America. This combination of influences led her to combine her many talents and, like her husband, incorporate many styles and techniques into her current artwork. She specializes in capturing the emotions and moods of her subjects.

Together, Jacques and Mary make an incredbly talented team, and they currently work in bronze, silver, wood, and stone lithographs, oils, and acrylics. Their artwork is displayed in many monuments and galleries around the U.S.
