When Swedish glass blowers Jan-Erik Ritzman and Sven Ake Carlsson invited young Jared Davis to come to Sweden to study with them, he went. Having already studied glass sculpting at the Pratt Fine Arts center, and in Italy learning their style, this opportunity was a natural progression. When his apprenticeship ended in 1998, Davis returned to his home in Colorado with his family, and became an active glass blower and designer for another artist. In 2001 Jared started his own business, Davis Glass. Using his "Fussion" technique, that is layering numerous colors and using a special crackle process, he has created a recognizable design, which results in unique one of a kind works of art.
